The Debate Transparency Project

An NCFCA National Case list

The list is ready for the 2025 season!

What is it?

A Mutual Mandate NCFCA Case List for Team Policy Debate.  When you submit your mandate you in turn get access to mandates for other NCFCA competitors.

Mission

“We challenge and equip ambassadors for Christ to communicate truth with integrity and grace”  by promoting transparency in Team Policy Debate by sharing mandates amongst competitors.

Constructive Community

Quote:

Proverbs 27:17 “Iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another.”

We are committed to engaging with one another in ways that refine, encourage, support, and challenge one another to be our best. Therefore, we value a constructive community that promotes honesty, transparency, collaboration, and evaluation. Together, we make each other better.

More Collaboration Opportunities:

Hey y'all! My name is Justus Aryani, and I'm a 6th year TPer hailing from Region 11. The past 3 years, I've been putting together an opportunity I wanted to pass along:

The National Prep Group is a brief-ring opportunity that;s helped connect TPers around the nation for the last 3 seasons. Each year, the collective brief ring tackles around 40-60 total cases, and releases anywhere from 60-110 briefs.

For any of you that are interested, I’m hoping to get 1-3 TPers from every region to come alongside the Prep Group and help represent their region! This would entail editing a few briefs from members of your region when they are submitted, helping us select which cases should be briefed by the Prep Group, and helping us spread the word about the opportunity. If you’re interested in helping or joining, check out more info here: Info Doc

Distinctives

Centered in Humility and Grace

Focused on building the body of Christ

In order to foster meaningful, open, and competitive debate

Whereas the mission of NCFCA is to, “challenge and equip ambassadors for Christ to communicate truth with integrity and grace.”; and

Whereas Team Policy Debate strives to, “simulate[] argumentation in a legislative body” in which both sides know the proposed legislation; and

Whereas real-life policy is not discussed without both sides of an issue sharing some amount of information to allow for meaningful dialogue and rebuttal; and

Whereas transparency creates space to have meaningful intelligent debates and provides for honest, faithful, fair, and loving competition and relationship-building;

Therefore, I will share my Team Policy mandate and not disclose the contents on the list out of respect to fellow debaters who choose to contribute and in an effort to encourage additional participation.

“Do nothing from selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility count others more significant than yourselves. Let each of you look not only to his own interests, but also to the interests of others. Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus,”

Competition can propel us to work harder, practice discipline, and improve ourselves and others.  Scripture is clear that we are to do all things for God’s glory (1 Corinthians 10:31) and “all things” includes Team Policy Debate competitions.

This NCFCA case list is not affiliated with NCFCA.  Our hope is that mandate sharing will become the cultural norm in the future.
